Giant Sky, Giant Taste

Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite white. I mean you will for sure read many more articles about different types of this white wine. Last night I tried Giant Sky, which has one of the prettiest labels ever. I LOVE watercolor. I don't know why, but I think watercolor is beautiful and feminine, and this label does a great job using it. I was instantly attracted to this bottle when I saw it.

The wine itself is relatively light-bodied, fresh, crisp, and not too sweet. I ate some shrimp with my wine last night, and the food matched perfectly with the wine. They complimented each other so well. This bottle gives you everything you would normally expect from a New Zealand wine. The passionfruit and gooseberry smell, with undertones of citrus make this wine delicious. Now I am not a connoisseur of wine and usually I don't understand the mumbo jumbo that comes out of the mouths of wine critics, but I did get this one. I could taste the melon hint, and the berries without them being too much.

Is this wine my favorite? No.

Would I buy it again? Probably.

Overall, the wine was delicious, but it is not one that I would purchase regularly unless I became a pescatarian and only ate fish. But the packaging is so beautiful and well done.
